About the role
The Master Data Management Support Analyst II plays a critical role in vendor and item set-up and maintenance activities across Ahold Delhaize USA. This position involves collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective vendor and item set-up management and controls. Responsibilities include supporting vendor relationships, resolving vendor issues, conducting root cause analysis, and adhering to master data management strategies.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 in-person days at one of our core office locations (Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME; Hyattsville, MD) and 2 remote days.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for vendors and internal ADUSA business teams, providing support and guidance during vendor and item set-up and maintenance.
- Facilitate communication and training between internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Support ADUSA functional business areas and vendors on effective vendor and item set-up and maintenance, providing ongoing performance feedback to stakeholders.
- Monitor vendor and internal stakeholder compliance with established vendor and item set-up policies.
- Assist in conducting vendor audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.
- Gather and analyze vendor master data, preparing reports for management and relevant teams.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of vendor and item set-up, maintenance, and master data support initiatives.
- Support the analysis of data insights to identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans to senior analysts and leadership.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of vendor and item set-up and maintenance processes and workflows.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance of vendor and item set-up and maintenance.
- Participate in vendor-related meetings, providing valuable insights and updates.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned to meet business needs and support company values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field and/or equivalent professional work experience.
- 1–2 years of previous experience in vendor management, internal controls, or a similar role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Complete understanding and ability to apply principles and standards, with knowledge of industry practices.
- Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and aggressive deadlines.
- Travel requirement: typically 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting knowledge (Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.).
- Background in internal controls or process improvement.
- Experience in grocery retail or category management.
- Familiarity with Ahold Delhaize USA systems and processes.
Pay
Salary ranges vary by location:
- ME/NC/PA/SC: $63,440–$95,160
- IL/MA/MD/NY: $72,880–$109,320
Actual compensation offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will align with company policies and applicable laws.
