An individual contributor role responsible for the logistics and accounting of transporting natural gas supplies for Southwest Gas Corporation (SWG) on Company-owned and third-party pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily scheduling and confirmation processes on company-owned and third-party pipelines.
- Monitor BTU and SCADA data to ensure accurate and timely identification and correction of anomalies associated with RTUs in conjunction with Gas System Support Staff.
- Coordinate the reconciliation of moderate exceptions between third-party pipelines, gas purchasing, transportation customer nominations and confirmations, and accounting.
- Analyze and assess the accuracy of daily weather and load forecasting models on a routine basis.
- Develop detailed utility load forecasts and maintain the database for this information, including the creation, validation, and maintenance of forecasting methodologies.
- Develop and maintain the logic for programming and/or moderately complex spreadsheets and databases for the Daily Imbalance tracking program, which provides daily operating data to management and customers.
- Review Company tariff provisions relative to the Gas Scheduling function and assist regulatory staff in revising such provisions, as required.
- Evaluate existing systems and procedures and recommend enhancements to continuously improve department and system efficiencies.
- Perform system testing following programming changes to validate system functionality.
- Document and maintain department procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements (FERC, Sarbanes-Oxley, PHMSA) to ensure compliance.
- Prepare responses for routine data requests from regulatory agencies.
- Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- Three to five years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential job responsibilities.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- PC software skills to maintain Microsoft Word documents and complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
Schedule
- 4-day work-week schedule which includes partial coverage of holidays and weekends.
- Hybrid work from home (WFH) schedule.
Pay
Las Vegas: $75,474.00 - $109,432.00
