About the role
As an Analyst II, Business Intelligence / Data Analysis within The People Office (TPO), you will play a key role in advancing FIS’s people analytics capabilities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build expertise in data visualization, workforce analytics, and modern data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support workforce and HR analytics
- Aid in developing and maintaining data models using modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate data from multiple HR and enterprise systems
- Analyze datasets to identify key trends and insights related to workforce metrics (e.g., hiring, attrition, productivity)
- Support automation of recurring reporting and data processes to improve efficiency and data accuracy
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear, actionable dashboards
- Ensure data quality and integrity, including troubleshooting issues and supporting root-cause analysis
- Contribute to documentation of metrics, definitions, and reporting standards
- Communicate insights through clear visual storytelling tailored to both technical and business audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience (including internships/co-op) in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (report building, basic DAX, data visualization best practices)
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or cloud-based data platforms
- Experience working with HR systems (e.g., Workday) or people data
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts (e.g., star schemas, fact/dimension design)
- Experience with ETL/ELT or data transformation processes
- Basic understanding of workforce or business performance metrics
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Python is a plus
