About the role

Under direct supervision, conducts routine analytical studies of samples, including preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols. Assists in preparation, submission, and filing reports on client sample tests, correlation tests, calibration, validation, and other projects. Performs routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and equipment. May assist or gain exposure to the development of analytical methods, SOPs, and other operating, safety, and quality documents for method development, transfer, and validation studies. Assists with investigation and preparation of responses to client inquiries. Inputs and maintains technical information to support laboratory functions and operations. Maintains a Laboratory Notebook and adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine operation, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Assist in the development of analytical methods, SOPs, and other documents for method development, transfer, and validation studies.
  • Support investigation and preparation of responses to client inquiries.
  • Maintain technical information to support laboratory functions and operations.
  • Maintain a Laboratory Notebook and adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related Science discipline.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories.
  • Experience in wet chemistry techniques, including Particle size analysis, XRD analysis, ICP analysis, and titration assays.
