Analyst I (Microbiology) - Eurofins Environment Testing South Central, Albuquerque, NM

About the role

Eurofins Environment testing in Albuquerque, New Mexico offers our customers a wide range of environmental laboratory services. We are seeking a Microbiology Analyst to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Analysis of samples following strict Standard Operating Procedures
• Input of data into corporate database
• Filtering of microbiology samples for compliance testing as required by federal regulations
• Cleaning and maintaining specific laboratory supplies, i.e., tubing and other specialized glassware
• Following safe work practices and adhering to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner
• Perform total Coliform / E.Coli testing, BPD, and oil and grease testing.
• Performs other duties, as directed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Microbiology or related field
• Minimum of at least 3 months of bench experience with water, milk, or food microbiology.
• At least 30 days of on-the-job training in environmental microbiology under an experienced analyst
• Understanding of basic laboratory practices related to Microbiology or related fields, including safety and aseptic techniques
• Authorization to work in the United States, without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

• The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. with overtime as needed.
• Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Albuquerque, New Mexico are encouraged to apply.
• Compensation range: $20-$22 / hour.
• Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
