Job Description and Duties

This position supports CDPH's mission by performing technical analytical tasks related to public and program policy, regulations, and legislation. The Analyst I (A I) will enforce licensing and certification standards, prepare documents and reports, and conduct research to ensure compliance.

• Enforce licensing and certification standards in accordance with State, Federal, and local laws and regulations.
• Prepare documents and reports to support recommendations for approving/denying initial and change of ownership (CHOW) applications for health facilities and providers of services statewide.
• Conduct research using various databases to ensure compliance with State and Federal statutes.
• Develop expertise in program areas and assist with analyzing and researching issues.
• Aid in preparing responses to program correspondence on various subjects.
• Communicate with health care providers, other State and Federal entities, city and/or county agencies, and other division/sections within the Department.
• Teleworking may be available, following CDPH's Telework Policy and Procedures.
