About the role
Under the direction of the Business Taxes Administrator III, the Analyst I is responsible for the operation of a complex property control system with an inventory of seized property and evidence valued at millions of dollars. The position is located in Cerritos, Los Angeles County.
Responsibilities
- Manage, track, and safeguard all physical assets of the Inspections Bureau (IB).
- Oversee high-dollar acquisitions, inventory, storage, releasing, and disposal in compliance with state regulations and policies.
- Track evidence receipt records and properly mark evidence for storage.
- Conduct evidence inspections and reconcile evidence inventory.
- Maintain control of state equipment and provide reports for management on equipment status, property management activities, and other reports.
- Stay current on rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to all facets of evidence and processing.
- May testify in criminal proceedings.
- May be called in during irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Position requires fingerprinting and successful passing of a background investigation.
- Participates in E-Verify; must provide Form I-9 information to confirm work authorization in the U.S.
- Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
Pay
- ANALYST I Classification Ranges:
- $3,861.00 - $4,839.00 (A)
- $4,181.00 - $5,233.00 (B)
- $5,014.00 - $6,276.00 (C)
- New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
