ANALYST I
Position Details
The California Department of Insurance (CDI) is seeking a dynamic Analyst I with experience in conducting detailed analysis to join the Enforcement Branch, specifically the Inland Empire Regional Office.
Duties
Under the general supervision of the Supervising Special Investigator II, (Regional Supervising Investigator), Investigation Division, or designee, the incumbent performs work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments such as:
- Program evaluation and planning
- Budgeting, planning, training, and personnel analysis
- Other related work
Tasks include:
- Preparing draft monthly and quarterly reports
- Database management
- Contract preparation
- Budgetary projections
- Research
- Trend analysis
- Statistical analysis
- Evidence tracking
- Public liaison with allied and public agencies
Special Requirements
Background check and fingerprinting are required. Effective July 1, 2025, the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) implemented the Personal Leave Program (PLP) 2025 and related Pay Differential 386. PLP 2025 requires employees to receive a reduction in pay in exchange for monthly hours of PLP 2025 leave credits. The salary range(s) for this position is $3,861.00 - $6,276.00 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
