ANALYST I
About the Role
This is a limited-term position lasting 12 months, with the possibility of extension up to 24 months or conversion to a permanent role. Individuals eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered. Main communication for this position will be through email, so a valid email address is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide information regarding injury/illness and employee performance relative to case management.
- Review modified duty restrictions and coordinate with departments to assess the feasibility of light-duty assignments.
- Assist in reviewing medical reports and evaluations to determine an employee’s capability to return to work.
- Analyze, review, and make recommendations to initiate investigations on workers’ compensation cases.
Requirements
The Minimum Requirements can be found in the Class Specification for Analyst I/Analyst II. Key qualifications include:
- Possession of Minimum Qualifications must be verified prior to interview/appointment. If meeting qualifications through education, unofficial transcripts/diploma must be submitted for verification. Official transcripts may be required upon appointment.
- Candidates with foreign degrees/transcripts must obtain and submit U.S. course/degree equivalency verification (e.g., via NACES).
- New hires must undergo a background investigation (Live Scan Fingerprinting) and a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, with annual testing thereafter.
- CDCR/CCHCS utilizes E-Verify to confirm identity and employment authorization (www.e-verify.gov).

Pay
- Analyst I: $3,861.00 – $6,276.00 per month. New state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range, if applicable.
- Analyst II: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month.
Schedule
- Full-time, 12-month limited-term position.
- Work location: Correctional Training Facility, Soledad, CA (Monterey County).
- In-office work; telework is not available.
