Support the Sound United SBU Finance team with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and reporting. Responsible for complex management reports, financial models, process improvements, and developing recommendations for change. Requires solid knowledge of financial systems.
Responsibilities
- Drive financial performance, strategic planning, and operational efficiency for the SBU’s Financial Planning and Analysis function.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, global functions reporting, and analysis; provide insights across departments.
- Review and report on variance analysis of actual vs. Forecast, Plan, and Prior Year.
- Support the design and implementation of new KPIs and performance dashboards to enhance visibility into key business metrics and operational efficiency.
- Support cost center activity, including monthly reporting and analysis, and lead reviews with Senior Leadership.
- Ensure divisional compliance with corporate policies and internal controls; review and implement group regulatory policies.
- Maintain a tight monthly G/L close process, collaborating closely with divisional businesses and business controllers.
- Streamline tools and processes to improve analysis of complex data and make recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or related roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of P&L and cash budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and management levels.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy; ability to adapt to changing priorities with a heightened sense of urgency.
- Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience developing and executing executive-level presentations.
- Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems; ability to manage large data sets.
- Ability to contribute as an effective individual and proactive team member.
- Availability to travel up to 5% domestically as required.
- Willingness to work remotely in a hybrid setting with commute to the Carlsbad, CA office.
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

- Experience working in a global organization or disparate time zones.
- Experience in the consumer products industry.
- Proficiency in additional languages beyond English.

Pay
$84,750 - $124,300 annually. Pay is based on skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. Additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses or commission, may also be available.
