Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

As an FP&A Analyst at Avelo Airlines, you’ll have the opportunity of guiding our finances through the always changing airline industry. We're on the hunt for a sharp, detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our finance crew. You’ll gain hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis, supporting our efforts to maintain and execute our financial strategy.

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Dive into financial, operational, and customer data to develop models for areas like compensation, airports, and materials.
• Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the development and maintain robust financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and cash flows. Help update and maintain our short-term budget and contribute to our 5-year financial model.
• Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business performance.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze financial variances and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Reporting: Support, prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Strategic Planning: Partner with departments to support strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations for special projects and business cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA, CPA and/or CFA is a plus.
• Understanding of accounting and financial planning principles.
• Self-starter with ability and desire to dig into details; enjoys getting lost in the weeds.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
