Analyst Engineer I - CFD / FEA (Entry Level)
About the role
At HRST, you'll apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex problems for power generation facilities around the world using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), heat transfer, and engineering mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analysis for complex thermal and mechanical systems.
- Develop Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models.
- Analyze heat transfer, fluid flow, and structural performance.
- Evaluate engineering data and recommend practical solutions for customer challenges.
- Support root cause failure analyses and performance improvement studies.
- Prepare professional engineering reports and technical documentation.
- Participate in field inspections and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Continue developing your technical expertise through mentoring, project experience, and ongoing learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
- Strong academic background in: Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Engineering Mechanics, Thermodynamics.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Recent engineering graduates with a strong interest in engineering analysis.
Preferred
- A recent undergraduate degree with a senior capstone project focused on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or Thermo-Fluids / Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- A recent master's degree with thesis research or engineering experience involving Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Engineering Mechanics, Thermo-Fluids, or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Experience with ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS CFX, MATLAB, Python.
