About the Department

The Technology Solutions (“TS”) Department is responsible for designing and delivering state-of-the-art technology solutions that create efficiency, mitigate risk, and grow revenue for the Firm. TS defines, manages, and executes a robust Cyber Security program following the NIST Cyber Security Framework. The department focuses on technical excellence through innovative application designs, robust data integration and analytics, high availability infrastructure, and gold-level service for key stakeholders, with information security embedded throughout.

Critical functions within Technology Solutions include Project Management, Vendor Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise Data Governance and Stewardship, Application Development and 3rd Party Integration, Strategic and Secure Infrastructure, and Operations. The department collaborates closely with Firm leadership and business unit heads to develop plans aligned with business objectives.

About the Role

This blended role combines operational security responsibilities with support for cybersecurity projects and programs, including maintaining security tools, monitoring compliance, assessing risk, and addressing security issues. The role provides hands-on support across multiple security technologies and assists with incident response, investigation, and reporting. Candidates should have a strong passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to promoting security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute cybersecurity operational procedures, including incident and alert handling, daily operational tasks, and security log reviews.
• Develop and update cybersecurity documentation and procedures, including design and architectural documentation for security solutions.
• Support cybersecurity projects by completing assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Partner with Service Desk, Systems, Networking, and Application Development Teams to implement security requirements and ensure successful project delivery and operational support.
• Implement and maintain security enhancements across the technology environment, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Defender, Active Directory, Office 365, Microsoft Azure Cloud, DLP, and associated solutions or services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cybersecurity tools.
• Collaborate with internal and external technology teams to deliver solutions on time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity.
• 1+ years of experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Experience using the Microsoft Defender security stack.
• Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Python
  • PowerShell
  • C# / .NET technologies
  • Automation of routine tasks using scripting or programming languages
  • Networking and TCP/IP
• Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations, and appropriate use of AI-generated outputs.
• Enthusiasm for working in-office and contributing to a Gold Standard hybrid work culture.

Pay

For Illinois only: The expected base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $110,000. Actual salaries may vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The total compensation package may also include other elements such as discretionary awards and benefits.
