About the Role

The Cost Analyst evaluates cost drivers to determine accurate product costs and ensure compliance with established cost standards and procedures. This role provides actionable cost insights to project teams and develops precise, competitive pricing quotes that safeguard and enhance margins.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and calculate pricing for all new and existing products, assessing impacts on contribution margins using pricing tools.
• Support initial project reviews by verifying customer requirements and ensuring accuracy in final quoted pricing.
• Develop a strong understanding of labor rates and manufacturing processes to determine cost drivers and margin impacts.
• Gather raw material and component cost inputs from procurement, analyze the data to identify pricing insights, and review standard versus recommended costs to determine variances and key cost drivers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, management, and sales to develop formal pricing quotations for quoting opportunities.
• Provide management with detailed reports to support business decision-making and expenditure control, including financial analysis for special projects and programs.
• Maintain site quote log, reprice status log, project folders, and Playbooks on Teams.
• Work with order processing to confirm customer purchase orders align with quoted prices.
• Maintain a target quote turnaround time of 14 days.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or related field.
• Experience in pricing, costing, or financial analysis.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and pricing tools.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
