Overview Job Purpose The Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB) Business Analyst will be responsible for bridging the gap between finance and accounting business stakeholders and the ORMB technical development team. This role encompasses gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for billing, revenue, tax, and financial reporting processes, and translating them into actionable functional specifications that drive ORMB system enhancements, integrations, and upgrade initiatives. Working under the direction of the Technical Manager and in close partnership with finance domain leads, the Business Analyst will serve as the subject matter authority for billing and revenue workflows within ORMB, ensuring that delivered solutions align with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. This role also supports ORMB upgrade and migration efforts by facilitating UAT, validating financial data reconciliation, and ensuring process continuity across environments. Responsibilities Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, the ORMB development team, and third-party vendors throughout the project lifecycle.Engage with business process owners, finance leads, and end users to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements for ORMB billing and revenue management processes.Conduct structured workshops, interviews, and working sessions to capture current-state processes and define target-state expectations.Author detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, process flow diagrams, and data mapping documents for enhancements and integrations.Define and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements: write test scenarios, expected outcomes, and traceability matrices aligned with business requirements.Facilitate change management activities — impact assessments, stakeholder communications, training materials, and user guides — for new ORMB features and process changes.Maintain a living repository of functional documentation including process maps, configuration registers, integration specifications, and UAT results.Analyze data and present clear, concise insights into stakeholders and leadership.Assist with project and program management, leveraging Structured Query Languages (“SQL”) and Database technologies and Data structures, Web Services and Application Programming Interfaces (“APIs”). Knowledge And Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.3+ years of business analysis experience in a finance systems or enterprise billing environment.Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams alongside Java developers, DBAs, and QA engineers.Hands-on experience with Oracle ORMB, CC&B, or a comparable utility/revenue billing platform strongly preferred.Strong understanding of core accounting and finance concepts: accounts receivable, revenue recognition, general ledger, indirect tax, and financial period close processes.Experience authoring BRDs, functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and UAT test plans in enterprise IT environments.Proficiency in SQL/PL SQL for data querying and financial reconciliation analysis against large relational databases (Oracle preferred).Ability to communicate complex functional requirements clearly to both technical developers and non-technical business stakeholders.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies and tools as the role evolves. Preferred Knowledge And Experience Familiarity with ORMB/OUAF functional configuration: rate schedules, algorithms, SA types, bill cycles, and adjustment processing.Experience supporting or participating in an ORMB/CC&B version upgrade or major billing system migration.Experience with BI Publisher, Tableau, or similar reporting tools for financial data visualization and audit support.Financial industry or capital markets experience — particularly in exchange fee billing, transaction fee structures, or membership billing — is highly beneficial.Ability to build effective working relationships with global teams across time zones.
