Analyst, Corporate Finance (Deals)

About the role

Joining our global Corporate Finance team, the Analyst will be based in our Los Angeles office and play an active role in Kobalt's deal processes. Working closely with A&R, senior management and Legal, the team provides financial analysis to support the signing of artists and songwriters, catalogue acquisitions and broader financial and strategic analysis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the A&R team to analyse new signing opportunities and provide financial insight to support deal negotiations.
• Build and manage financial models in Excel to evaluate musical assets, analysing streaming and royalty data and forecasting future cash flows to inform valuations and potential offers.
• Develop a point of view on potential investments, identifying key opportunities, risks and sensitivities and making recommendations based on your analysis.
• Prepare investment memos that clearly communicate key findings and recommendations to A&R and senior management.
