Analyst, Corporate Development
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plans for Wedbush Securities and Wedbush Financial Services corporate strategy
- Enhance the Wedbush Electronic Order System (EOS)
- Coordinate and implement business development and investment banking mandates
- Perform financial modeling including M&A, valuation, derivative, trading and risk modeling
- Conduct financial assessments of private and public companies
- Conduct SWOT analysis and environmental scans
- Build solutions in investment banking by developing and managing algorithmic trading strategies
- Perform internal audit, quality of earnings, forensic accounting and PE/VC level due diligence
- Manage and develop marketing and sales pipeline
- Perform other duties as required and assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance or related field
- Masters or PhD in a STEM area, financial engineering, accounting or finance preferred
- FINRA Series 7, 63, 57 and 79 licenses (will sponsor)
- Vigilant data historian, keeper and interpreter with previous experience working with large data sets
- Programming experience: Visual Basic, SQL, C++, Java, or Python highly preferred
- Past experience with quantitative research and developing large, scalable systems
- Prior trading or sales experience and/or investment banking experience and/or audit
- A strong interest, curiosity, and desire to learn and understand how the financial markets operate and are regulated
- A high energy and intellectually curious candidate that is solutions-oriented and motivated to hit metrics under tight deadlines
- A highly versatile and organized skillset willing and able to tackle a variety of tasks aligned with the sensitivity, understanding and flexibility to manage select milestones
- The ability to develop strategies that effectively achieve goals and objectives within a regulatory framework
- The ability to interact with a wide variety of clientele, colleagues and professionals with different skillsets, objectives, motivations and mandates
- Excellent business oriented analytical and writing skills; strong proficiency with modelling
- A self-driven with ability to work independently/remotely under pressure, but possessing strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills

Decisions Regarding Compensation
Compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and is dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The hiring salary range for this role is $85,000-100,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on the colleague's and the firm's performance.
