Job Description The Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) organization serves as American Express’ independent risk management function. GRC maintains the enterprise risk framework, provides oversight and challenge, and monitors key risks. By embedding risk discipline into strategy and operations, GRC enables responsible growth, innovation, and long-term value creation while protecting customers and shareholders. The Global Compliance & Ethics (GCE) organization plays a vital role in protecting American Express, our brand, and our colleagues by delivering practical, risk-based guidance on regulatory compliance matters. Within GCE, the U.S. Global Servicing Compliance team provides independent second-line oversight across U.S. Global Servicing business units, helping to ensure a strong and sustainable compliance risk management framework. This position is a Compliance Analyst role, providing support to the Compliance Manager supporting several US Global Servicing Business Units and processes. The Analyst will provide compliance advisory, support compliance risk assessments, perform effective challenge, and oversee strategic initiatives, regulatory change, and issue management activities to help identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks. The successful candidate is a proactive, analytical, and organized professional with a strong risk mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building effective cross-functional partnerships. Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES Track, monitor, and validate compliance issue management activities to ensure timely execution, documentation, and resolution of identified compliance risks.Analyze compliance data, trends, and key metrics to identify emerging risks, prepare reporting, and escalate issues to management as appropriate.Assist in the execution of compliance monitoring, risk assessments, and oversight activities to evaluate adherence to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and risk standards.Collaborate with business stakeholders, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Operational teams to support compliance initiatives, regulatory change management, and remediation efforts.Support the development and maintenance of compliance reporting, dashboards, and governance materials to provide visibility into compliance risks, issue status, and overall program effectiveness.Conduct research and analysis of regulatory requirements and business processes to identify potential compliance impacts and recommend practical risk mitigation strategies.Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes, controls, and documentation by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, consistency, and risk management practices.Foster a strong culture of compliance by promoting awareness of regulatory expectations, internal policies, and best practices across supported business units. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.2–3 years of experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or a related field.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend solutions.Experience analyzing data and preparing reports, dashboards, or presentations for management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to a variety of stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams while working independently when needed.High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within compliance, operational risk, or regulatory oversight.Knowledge of compliance risk management frameworks, issue management processes, RCSA, and regulatory requirements applicable to financial institutions.Experience supporting compliance monitoring, risk assessments, governance reporting, or remediation activities.Experience working with data visualization or reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
