Analyst Charge Revenue Integrity (Remote)

Employment Type: Full time, Day Shift, Remote Position. Weekend rotation required approximately every 6 weeks.

About the Role

This position is responsible for the data capture, analysis, and reporting of data information to assist the Trinity Health leadership team in achieving operational efficiency. Responsibilities include auditing department information, producing reports, and suggesting process improvements. The role provides expertise in programs, services, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Research, collect, and analyze information to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead resolution efforts.
• Collaborate on performance improvement activities to enhance program efficiency and patient experience.
• Distribute analytical reports and utilize multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials.
• Ensure quality, confidentiality, and safety by incorporating knowledge of Trinity Health policies, practices, and processes.
• Synthesize and analyze data, providing detailed summaries, graphical presentations, and practical recommendations for leadership decision-making.
• Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts.
• Maintain working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, Trinity Health’s Integrity & Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct.
• Ensure accurate CPT and/or ICD-10 documentation for patient billing and educate colleagues and providers on proper documentation and coding.
• Maintain documentation regarding charge capture processes and perform regular reviews to identify missing charges.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on system change requests and upgrades to ensure capture accuracy.
• Provide oversight of charge reconciliation processes for assigned departments, ensuring daily and monthly reconciliations occur.
• Perform or guide clinical departmental daily reconciliation processes, including supply charge capture, identifying duplicate charges, and addressing documentation deficiencies.
• Perform charge entry, capture, approvals, and quality reviews, including appending modifiers and checking clinical documentation.
• Provide feedback to intra-departmental Revenue Integrity colleagues on areas of opportunity.
• Review and respond to quality reports identifying missing, duplicate, or late charges.
• Maintain and update required reference logs and reporting tools.
• Support stakeholders with denial-related charge reviews, including root cause analysis and education for ancillary departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one to two years of relevant work experience in a hospital and/or Physician Practice environment, with experience in revenue cycle, billing, coding, and/or patient financial services.
• Charge control/capture work experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology, data entry, supply chain processes, hospital and/or Medical Group practice operations, and revenue cycle front-end functions.
• Knowledge of billing and regulatory guidelines related to charging and ability to assist clinical departments with changes to charging practices.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Licensure/Certification: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC, AAPC, or other coding credentials.
• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
• CHC (Healthcare Compliance Certification) preferred.
• CHRI certification/membership strongly preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.9481 - $32.9222 per hour.

• For Direct Healthcare Services: occasional standing/walking, physical efforts (e.g., transporting patients), and exposure to patient homes with variable conditions.
• For Indirect Healthcare/Support Services: occasional standing/walking, long periods of stooping/bending, and occasional clinical/patient-facing interactions.
