About the role
The Capital Planning / Resource Management team at National Grid is seeking an Analyst to join their hybrid role based in Waltham, MA. This role involves evaluating and applying AI, Copilot, and Azure-based tools to automate work and reduce manual effort, building and maintaining dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions, and partnering with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and apply AI, Copilot, and Azure-based tools to identify opportunities to automate work and reduce manual effort
- Build and maintain dashboards, data models, and reporting solutions (primarily in Power BI) to support the MA Gas Business
- Design and implement automation workflows, apps, and agent-based solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio)
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify needs, and deliver solutions that improve usability and decision-making
- Own end-to-end delivery of solutions, including development, testing, documentation, and ongoing support
- Continuously improve existing reports, automations, and tools based on feedback, adoption, and changing business needs
- Contribute to project planning and delivery, working within Agile or structured team processes as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field OR 3+ years of analytical experience required
- 1+ years of experience using Power BI, Excel, and SQL for data analysis, reporting, or dashboard development required
- 1+ years of experience developing reports, dashboards, or analytical solutions for business stakeholders required
- Working knowledge of Python or other data analysis tools preferred
- Exposure to AI and machine learning concepts or tools within a business setting preferred
- Experience working with business systems such as SAP or Maximo preferred
Qualifications
- Must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Salary range: $94,000 - $110,000 per year
Skills
- Technical proficiency in AI, Copilot, and Azure-based tools
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills using Power BI, Excel, and SQL
- Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile or structured team environment
