Analyst/Associate, Investment Engineering (Analytics Platforms)

Responsibilities

• Work on key projects spanning portfolio analytics and client applications within Dimensional.
• Learn both the big picture and nuance of Dimensional’s investment philosophy and how it translates into the implementation of an investment process.
• Build and maintain internal tools and frameworks to empower product teams to work more efficiently.
• Partner with user groups to consult and onboard new use cases, requiring an understanding of the SME knowledge, goals, and processes of those teams.
• Execute on projects to enhance and improve these tools, driving career progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or economics, demonstrating a capacity for and interest in quantitative work.
• Experience with programming in one or more languages, particularly Python, showing the ability to code, solve problems algorithmically, and perform data analysis.
• Understanding of financial markets and a desire to learn more about Dimensional’s offerings.
• Experience with databases and large data sets, showcasing the ability to work with and analyze data to provide meaningful results.
• Knowledge of T-SQL, databases, and REST APIs, essential for pulling data from databases and performing analysis.
• Experience with software management skills such as Git and CI processes (e.g., GitHub Actions), indicating proficiency in modern development practices.
