Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g., timing, power), design, integration, and verification/qualification of electrical hardware, equipment, and systems.
  • Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) assessments of COTS or internally developed hardware, including requirement analysis, specification, and testing of designs (circuit cards, assemblies, etc.).
  • Internal electrical and EMI/EMC reviews of components, hardware, equipment, and systems.
  • Collaboration with multi-discipline design teams to ensure best practices for hardware design, build, and test principles.
  • Evaluation of vendor capability to support product development.
  • Resolution of EMI/EMC-related issues in design, integration & test, qualification, manufacturing, and equipment lifecycle support phases.
  • Assessment of fielded hardware failures using limited contextual fault conditions, identifying root causes, and recommending resolutions.
  • Primary support for the Maritime & Strategic Systems business area developing and deploying Weapon System Control and Launch system hardware, with opportunities across multiple GDMS sites and programs.

Skills

  • Clear understanding of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories with a focus on Power and Analog design.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC concepts and theories, including radiated/conducted emissions/susceptibility, noise propagation, and mitigation techniques.
  • Proficiency with electrical engineering processes and design tools (MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice).
  • Basic knowledge of power conversion (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC & topologies), power conditioning, filtering, distribution, protection, control, and monitoring techniques.
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly.
  • Initiative and professional execution of projects with minimal direction.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $100,219.00 – $111,180.00 per year, based on experience and geographic location.
