About the role

Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Intern focusing on key circuit blocks in an analog signal processing chain for a variety of applications such as LiDAR, wireless/wireline communications, 5G, etc. The successful candidate will design high‑performance transistor‑level circuits critical to meeting overall ADC/DAC specifications and signal‑chain performance. Omni Design seeks self‑motivated individuals who show initiative, leadership, teamwork, diversity, and a commitment to excellence in a young, fast‑growing, cutting‑edge technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design key circuit blocks in analog signal processing chains (e.g., bandgap references, amplifiers, feedback‑OTAs, comparators, switched‑capacitor circuits).
  • Develop high‑performance transistor‑level circuits to meet ADC/DAC specifications and overall signal‑chain requirements.
  • Contribute to analog‑to‑digital or digital‑to‑analog converter design, PLLs, oscillators, etc., as applicable.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Analog/Mixed‑Signal circuit design.
  • Strong understanding of basic circuit building blocks: bandgap reference, amplifiers, feedback‑OTAs, comparators, switched‑capacitor circuits, etc.
  • Familiarity with ADC/DAC data converter design, PLLs, oscillators (a plus).
  • Strong intuitive and analytical grasp of transistor‑level design including feedback, noise, and mismatch analysis.
  • Experience with Cadence schematic capture, Virtuoso, Spectre and/or HSPICE for circuit simulation.
  • Ability to work independently, adhere to schedules, and seek help proactively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE.
  • Analog circuit design (bandgap, amplifiers, OTAs, comparators, switched‑capacitor).
  • Knowledge of ADC/DAC, PLLs, oscillators.
  • Transistor‑level analysis (feedback, noise, mismatch).
  • Independent work, schedule adherence, proactive communication.
