Amusement (Arcade) Manager

About the role

The Amusement Manager will oversee the operations of a new family entertainment facility located at North County Mall, Escondido. This role requires a strong background in retail management, particularly in the arcade and entertainment industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and satisfaction by being visible and accessible to customers.
• Explain game operation or rules to customers and respond to complaints of machine malfunctions.
• Avoid minor repairs on various machines without mechanic assistance.
• Schedule and assign tasks to department employees while ensuring compliance with operating practices and policies.
• Select, coach, and develop staff for the Amusement Department.
• Achieve targeted sales goals by managing store displays and tracking departmental sales.
• Conduct alcohol and age restriction controls in accordance with company policies and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage cash handling and invoicing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Open availability, especially nights and weekends
• At least 21 years old to handle and serve alcohol

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the arcade / entertainment industries
• Ability to lift and move up to 100lbs with assistance
• Regularly required to bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces
• Stand and walk for extended periods without breaks during busy times
