About the role

KTA-Tator, Inc. (KTA) is recruiting experienced AMPP Senior Certified Coating Inspectors (NACE Level 3) open to traveling across the U.S. for extensive periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect bridge coatings and other assets for corrosion protection and asset integrity
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspections
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and management
  • Travel to various locations within the U.S. as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE CIP Level 3)
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Excellent work ethic with good oral and written communication and decision-making skills
  • Detail-oriented and customer-focused
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel skills

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ bridge coatings inspection experience
  • SSPC Lead Paint Removal (C3)
  • Bridge Coatings Inspector (BCI) Level 1 or 2

Physical Requirements

  • Close, color, distance, and depth vision
  • Ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Ability to work outside (including inclement weather)
  • Climbing, bending, crawling, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain
