Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician

About the role

Carlson & Stewart Refrigeration is a design-build contractor specializing in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems across the Upper Midwest. We’re seeking full-time Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technicians in our Marshall and Sauk Rapids, MN offices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair Ammonia/NH3 refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with high accuracy.
• Perform system installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Follow safety procedures and policies at all times.
• Travel to job sites with paid travel time and per diem benefits.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or on ladders.
• Willingness to be on-call for nights/weekends as required.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Technical knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
