Ameriscan Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter-Independent Contractor

Requirements

• Fluent in both English and ASL
• RID Certified, in process, or EIPA, NIC, NAD CI, CT or equivalent
• Prepared to undergo Livescan and Background Checks
• Familiar with HIPAA and Cultural Sensitivity trainings
• Adhere to CHIA Professional Code of Conduct standards

Skills

• Strong passion for interpreting and customer service
• Comfortable with consecutive interpretation process (simultaneous a plus)
• Experienced with both face‑to‑face and remote interpreting

Responsibilities

• Facilitate interpretation in a variety of subjects: medical, business, and education settings
