American Sign Language Teacher - Middle School

About the role

The Middletown Township School District is seeking an American Sign Language Teacher for the Middle School. This position will commence on August 27, 2026, and conclude on June 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Teach American Sign Language to middle school students
• Implement best practices for supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for students
• Integrate technology to enhance instructional methods
• Comply with Least Restrictive Environment regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

• NJ Teacher of American Sign Language or Middle School with Subject Specialization: American Sign Language certificate required
• Knowledge of Google for Education
• Experience integrating technology to enhance instruction
• Knowledge/evidence of implementation of best practices for supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for students
• Knowledge of Least Restrictive Environment regulations

Pay

Salary range: $60,673 - $126,533 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with experience)

Schedule

Terms of employment are pursuant to the MTEA Collective Bargaining agreement.
