American Sign Language Interpreter - Schools
About the role
Accountable School Staffing is hiring multiple American Sign Language Interpreters (ASL's) for a 2026-2027 school year assignment in California. Positions are available in elementary, middle, and high school DHH hubs. The interpreters will work school hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Responsibilities
- Interpret between English and American Sign Language in educational settings
- Work in Mild/Moderate DHH classes
- Follow school schedules and work school hours
- Ensure communication accessibility for students and staff
Requirements
- California state professional license required
- EIPA score of 3.0 or better
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of American Sign Language
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in educational settings preferred

Schedule
Interpreters will work school hours with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Pay
Hourly rate ranging from $25.00 to $45.00, inclusive of taxable hourly rate and potentially nontaxable stipends converted to an hourly rate based on a 35-40 hour work week.
