In this dynamic role, you will facilitate communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals across various professional settings, ensuring accurate and effective interpretation services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver interpretation services in diverse environments, including healthcare, educational institutions, and corporate settings, making effective communication accessible to all participants
• Translate spoken language into ASL and ASL back into spoken language smoothly and in real-time
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards throughout each assignment
• Keep up to date with developments in both ASL and English language to provide high-quality interpretation

REQUIREMENTS

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and a high level of proficiency in English
• Certification as an ASL interpreter preferred, demonstrating your expertise in the field
• Deep understanding of Deaf culture and the nuances of communication within that context
• Able to work well under pressure and juggle multiple assignments while maintaining focus and precision in interpretation
