About the Role
West Hartford seeks a dedicated educator to support students who are deaf and hard of hearing by ensuring access to language through American Sign Language and other visual supports.
Responsibilities
- Sign and voice teacher/student communications
- Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and peers
- Support academic content delivery
- Provide instructional support
- Manage amplification systems
Requirements
- NIC Written Certification
- Must be on the CT Interpreter Registry
- Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
Application materials required: current resume, transcripts, copy of certification, and three letters of recommendation dated within the last 365 days.
