Benefits: Flexible scheduleOpportunity for advancementTraining & development Job Title: American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Location: West Palm Beach, FL Job Type: Contract / Freelance / Part-Time (as needed) Position Overview Global Language System is seeking qualified and professional American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters to provide in-person interpretation services in the West Palm Beach, FL area. Interpreters will support communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals and hearing clients in a variety of settings including medical, educational, government, and community environments. Key Responsibilities Provide accurate and culturally appropriate ASL interpretation servicesFacilitate effective communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing and hearing individualsMaintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics (RID Code of Professional Conduct)Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled assignmentsAdapt interpreting style to suit various settings (medical, legal, educational, business, etc.)Complete required documentation and reporting after assignments Qualifications Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and EnglishRID Certification (NIC, CI/CT, or equivalent) preferred State of Minnesota interpreter certification (if applicable)Minimum of 1–2 years of professional interpreting experienceKnowledge of Deaf culture and communityAbility to pass background check (required for certain assignments) Preferred Qualifications Experience in medical, legal, or educational interpretingNational Interpreter Certification (NIC) or higherAvailability for short-notice or emergency assignments Compensation Competitive hourly rates based on experience and certificationTypical market range: $40 – $75 per hour (depending on credentials and assignment type)Travel reimbursement may be provided for certain assignments Why Join Us Work with a certified ISO 9001 & ISO 17100 language service providerFlexible schedulingOpportunities across multiple industries and clientsSupportive coordination and scheduling team How to Apply Submit the following: Resume / CV with ASL experience.RID or other interpreting certifications.Availability for remote/onsite assignments.
