Job Summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking part-time instructors to help students thrive through personalized learning experiences. The role involves teaching in a small group setting (4:1 ratio) and utilizing Sylvan's curriculum for subjects like Reading, Writing, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT Prep, and state exams.

Responsibilities

• Taught using Sylvan based programs
• Supervise, interact with, and motivate students during instruction hours
• Reward students for completed assignments
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate student needs to center directors
• Develop rapport with students and create a fun learning environment
• Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm for teaching

Requirements

• Available 4-20 hours per week, typically Monday-Thursday 3:30-7:30 and Saturdays 9:00-1:00
• No lesson planning required, as SylvanSync handles that
• Ability to build rapport and inspire students

Qualifications

• Passion for education and inspiring children
• Experience working with children or familiarity with educational settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for teaching
