American Girl Retail Asset Protection Associate (Seasonal/Temporary)

About the role

The Asset Protection Associate position at the American Girl Retail Flagship Chicago location is integral in ensuring a safe environment for both customers and employees. This role involves monitoring and correcting safety concerns, guiding customer traffic, and preventing asset loss through various methods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring and correcting safety concerns and guiding customer traffic.
• Provide external and internal customer service in a positive, friendly, and professional manner, diffusing escalated situations.
• Prevent the loss of company assets through surveillance, conducting employee package checks, and trash checks, and stay informed about relevant retail security laws.
• Serve as a safety mentor for store employees, setting a positive example.

Requirements

• Available to work evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• One to two years of loss prevention, law enforcement, criminal justice, military, or security experience, preferred.
• State-specific license, if applicable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Software programs, preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a broad and diverse work force and customer base, including children, preferred.
