Ambulatory RN - EP Procedure Scheduler

Come join our team as a full-time Ambulatory Nurse with BJC Medical Group in our Arrhythmia Center located in Creve Coeur. This is a rare opportunity to join a great team focused on outpatient management of pre- and post-care for Cardiac Devices and Arrhythmia patients.

Located on the campus of Missouri Baptist Medical Center, this position will support both our Arrhythmia Center and Valve Clinic. The centers include highly trained, hospital-based specialists. As an ambulatory RN, you will work alongside cardiac electrophysiologists and partner with structural heart cardiologists, heart surgeons, and interventional cardiologists to care for every type of cardiac condition.

Role Purpose

Provides direct patient care to identified patients in collaboration with providers and care team to assess, develop, and implement a plan of care to deliver clinically appropriate, high-quality, cost-effective care. The ambulatory RN offers oversight and guidance to clinical staff working in the clinic and helps support providers with daily patient management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PCPs and Specialists to develop and implement care plans to maximize healthcare outcomes and facilitate wellness with periodic review and update according to department protocols.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
• Assure that clinical protocols and patient assessment guidelines are followed in accordance with standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines.
• Support providers in appropriately documenting patient assessment and treatment protocols in accordance with compliance standards.
• Provide patient education and support, including verbal and written instructions; use appropriate tools and techniques to assess the patient’s and/or family’s ability to receive education; take initiative to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's in Nursing
• Experience: 2-5 years
• Supervisor Experience: None
• Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), RN

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Experience: 5-10 years

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Day shift
• No call, no weekends, no holidays
