Ambulatory Clinic Pharmacist

About the role

The Clinical Pharmacist III Ambulatory Retail Specialty works in a specialized ambulatory or community pharmacy area, providing patient care in their specialty area, engaging with providers, pharmacy staff, and may supervise patient advocates and/or pharmacy technicians.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.
• Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public.
• Supervises and evaluates pharmacy technicians.
• Precepts students and residents.
• Functions at a higher knowledge base and competency, spending the majority of time addressing complex situations or working on project improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharm.
• Experience: 6 years.
• Licensure/Certification/Listing: Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA.
• BCPS or Board Certification in a specialty area.
