About the role

The Ambassador at Carriage Services plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceeding client expectations during funerals and memorializations. They serve as a key point of contact, greeting and directing clients and their guests, and assisting with various logistical needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively promotes the business in the community to foster trust and loyalty.
• Greets and directs client families and guests at the funeral home.
• Escorts clients to the appropriate chapel or parlor for services.
• Distributes memorialization materials and answers questions from clients and guests.
• Assists with serving refreshments and preparing public spaces for services.
• Represents the business professionally, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Manages flower placement and ensures all necessary arrangements are made.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated willingness to engage in community activities to grow market share.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to empathize and provide compassionate support in emotionally challenging situations.
• Professional appearance and adherence to ethical practices.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Indoor office setting with occasional outdoor duties.
• Exposure to inclement weather, extreme temperatures, and uneven ground.
• Strength and manual dexterity required for lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Routine exposure to chemicals and bloodborne pathogens.
• Driving a company vehicle and maintaining a safe driving record.
