Amb/Retail Pharmacist/OnCall/UKHC - Community Pharmacy and Ryan White Services

Job Summary

This position provides patient care in a fast-paced community pharmacy setting across multiple Lexington, KY locations, including KY Clinic Pharmacy, Bluegrass Clinic Pharmacy at the Beaumont Center location, and the Fountain Court Pharmacist Care Team. The pharmacist compounds and dispenses medications pursuant to authorized prescriptions; reviews and interprets prescriptions and medication profiles to ensure safe and appropriate therapy while identifying potential drug interactions; supports specialized programs including the Kentucky AIDS Drug Assistance Program, Ryan White Part C, Pharmacy Partners, and Mail Order services; and manages inventory and technician staff to ensure operational efficiency and high-quality customer service. This role requires flexible shift coverage including weekend and some holiday rotations during operating hours which may vary by location.

• May involve lifting up to 25-50 lbs (stock/supplies).

Shift Details

• Primarily covering shifts as needed including weekend shifts at the Community Pharmacy and Ryan White Services locations.
• Must be available to work during operating hours and days of operation which are subject to change based on location of assignment.
• May be required to work on some holidays which currently are being rotated by Ambulatory Pharmacy Services staff.
• Some weekend shifts are an expected part of the assignment.
• Shifts may be at KY Clinic Pharmacy, Beaumont Clinic Pharmacy, and Fountain Court Pharmacist Care Clinic in the Lexington, KY area.

Education/Experience

• Ambulatory/Retail Pharmacy Experience preferred.
• PharmD or BS from College of Pharmacy with eligibility to be licensed in KY.
