About the role
As a Remote Travel Counselor, you’ll join our highly skilled remote team, providing outstanding service to corporate business clients. Our 24/7 operation fosters a warm, inclusive culture with innovation in travel tech, internal promotions, and career advancement opportunities. Many of our Traveler Care leaders started as Travel Counselors.
Responsibilities
- Advise and arrange travel for corporate business customers (individuals and groups)
- Conduct analysis and research on travel options, proactively anticipating traveler needs to sell additional services
- Arrange and book domestic and international business travel (air, road, rail, accommodations) of varying complexity
- Use the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS)
- Ensure compliance with customers’ travel policies, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements
- Use positive telephone service techniques and handle special customer requests
- Collaborate with your team to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to improve service levels
Requirements
- Passion for excellence in client service, including proactive anticipation of needs
- Amadeus Native GDS expertise
- Three to five years of corporate travel experience (international business travel background a plus)
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Act with integrity and safeguard personal traveler information
- Strong understanding of the travel industry
- Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and independently or with suppliers
- Teamwork and openness to feedback
Schedule
Our Traveler Care unit operates 24/7. While we have colleagues dedicated to night shifts, you should be flexible and prepared to work afternoon shifts (12pm–12am).
Pay
The US national base salary range for this position is $46,200.00 – $85,800.00. The actual base salary will depend on factors such as scope and complexity of the role, relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
