About the role
Sundance Resort seeks an AM PUBLIC AREAS ATTENDANT to join our dynamic Housekeeping team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of all public spaces within the resort.
Responsibilities
- Maintains resort premises in clean and orderly manner according to standards.
- Checks in and out keys and radios from the safety office.
- Ensures cleanliness of Sundance vehicles used for daily duties.
- Scrubbing, waxing, and vacuuming floors; shaking out rugs and spot cleaning carpets.
- Washing baseboards, windowsills, door panels, and woodwork.
- Empties wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area.
- Upholds sustainability practices, including mindful water and energy use, recycling, and minimizing waste.
- Replenishes toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, and cleans public restroom facilities.
- Cleans housekeeping closets and removes trash at the end of each shift.
- Maintains meeting/conference room spaces through daily cleaning tasks.
- Cleans living room space and guest dining areas daily.
- Maintains health and wellness center, locker room, changing areas, staging areas, and boot room by sanitizing equipment, restocking towels and water, clearing trash, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting daily.
- Maintains motorcycle cleanliness by disinfecting and inspecting for damage daily.
- Reviews Daily Events Report each morning to establish cleaning priorities for meeting spaces before events.
- Inspects areas and reports any broken, damaged, or faulty equipment to supervisor and/or maintenance.
- Communicates effectively using a 2-way radio.
- Fulfills Sundance Housekeeping protocols for cleanliness and safety.
- Immediately turns in all lost and found items to supervisor.
- Reports any suspicious activities to Safety and supervisor or front desk.
- Demonstrates strong attention to cleanliness standards and responds positively to feedback for continuous improvement.
- Shares the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the occasion arises.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of carpet shampoo and window washing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Valid U.S. drivers' license in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines.
- The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
- Frequent exposure to moderate noise levels.
