  • Welcoming guests with enthusiasm and creating an inviting, energetic atmosphere at the bar.
  • Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes, quality standards, and responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Sharing your knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and menu offerings to make thoughtful recommendations and enhance the guest experience.
  • Taking food and beverage orders accurately while ensuring allergy information and special requests are communicated clearly.

  • Preparing beverages for both bar guests and the restaurant dining room while maintaining speed, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout every shift.

  • Collaborating with Barbacks, Servers, Culinary, and Leadership to deliver seamless service.
  • Building relationships with returning guests and creating memorable experiences that encourage them to visit again.
  • Responding professionally and positively to guest requests and resolving service opportunities with confidence and care.
  • Taking pride in maintaining sanitation, organization, and presentation standards behind the bar.

Qualifications

  • Previous Bartending Experience Preferred.
  • Hotel, restaurant, or upscale hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to meet all state and local alcohol service requirements.
  • Current Kansas alcohol service certification or licensing, where required, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail preparation and standardized recipes.
  • Ability to confidently recommend food and beverage pairings.
  • Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system and processing guest payments accurately.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish Communication Skills Preferred, But Not Required.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and move safely throughout bar, restaurant, storage, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds, including cases of beverages, kegs, ice, glassware, and bar supplies.
  • Ability to safely operate bar equipment and use cleaning products according to established procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant and bar environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
