Responsibilities

• Stage raw materials for use during Alvey production runs as scheduled
• Maintain equipment stocked with raw materials for continuous operation
• Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations
• Assist Line Technicians as necessary
• Uphold quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated area
• Communicate with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations
• Set up oncoming shift for successful run
• Perform any duties necessary to support the team
• Adhere and follow all policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
• Demonstrate honesty and respect toward others
• Perform various tasks involving the responsibility of the food safety and quality of company products

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Good basic math and reading skills
• Good oral communication and human relations skills
• 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong computer skills required – prefer PC platform
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Able to perform multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with all levels of employees

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Long periods (a minimum of 6 hours)
• Sitting: Occasionally for short periods
• Walking: Frequently
• Bending: Frequently
• Lifting: Light (less than 30 lbs) infrequently
• Carrying: Light (30-50 lbs) infrequently, distance up to 100 ft
• Pushing/Pulling: Under 75 lbs without assistance infrequently

Performance Standards

• Comply with performance criteria, standards of conduct, employment procedures, and responsibilities as described in the HP Hood Guidebook and applicable site supplement
• Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, procedures, and training
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times and immediately report and take appropriate action to correct safety concerns
• Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices, including GMP dress code standards
• Responsible for reporting to work in a condition to work at scheduled times and communicating tardiness and absences according to the Call-Off Procedure and Attendance Policy

SQF Requirements

• Adhere to all food safety and food quality requirements as well as the regulatory authorities with jurisdiction over our products and processes
• Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner
• Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

Environmental Concerns

• May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacture of food products including allergens
• May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacture and sanitation of a food processing facility

Pay

The pay range for this position is $27.92 - $30.37 USD.
