Summary of Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of the Sales Manager and rotational supervisor to ensure daily and monthly training goals are met.
• Aid in the sales/rental process in various aspects of the rotation, including counter sales, outside sales, service department, yard maintenance, parts counter, and operations.
• Answer calls and questions, provide excellent customer service, and assist customers with sales and rental equipment needs.
• Expand understanding of rental product line, learn construction phases, strengthen knowledge of rental fleet, and demonstrate equipment appropriately.
• Make sales lead calls, prepare sales presentations, reports, and quotes, and assist with opening and closing work orders.
• Learn and resolve common equipment failure problems, assist with opening and closing work orders, and help with yard maintenance tasks.
• Assist with parts sales needs, process work orders, and provide excellent customer service.
• Help with opening and closing procedures, follow up on overdue rental contracts, and ensure the store is clean and orderly.

Qualifications/Traits

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
• A strong desire to learn and grow with Altorfer Rents.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Result-oriented with the ability to influence others.
• Strong work ethic, coachability, and accountability.
• Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking.
• Some travel (up to 25%) between locations required for training.
