Alternative Credit - Associate

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and execute private credit, structured investments, and select equity / hybrid opportunities across asset classes
  • Source and screen new investment opportunities; develop investment theses and relative value views
  • Lead diligence efforts, including financial modeling, collateral and cash flow analysis, downside and recovery scenarios, and structuring
  • Coordinate third-party diligence and manage transaction timelines through closing
  • Prepare investment committee materials and present recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage portfolio performance
  • Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, accounting, and risk teams
  • Support development of portfolio reporting tools, analytics, and internal processes
  • Collaborate with broader investment teams to share insights and support platform initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance
  • 3-7 years of experience in private credit, structured credit, specialty finance, investment banking, private equity, or a related field
  • Strong financial modeling and underwriting capabilities; advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable investment views
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with asset-backed finance, structured products (ABS/warehouse), fund finance, or platform investing is a plus
  • Comfort reviewing legal documentation is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and ability to leverage technology to enhance efficiency and decision-making
