Alternate Contract Manager

Location: Fort Benning, GA (On-site) Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) prior to onboarding; U.S. Citizenship required Job Type: Full-time Contract Type: Government Contract (Base Year: 13 October 2026 - 12 October 2027, plus four Option Years) Position Overview Seeking a customer-focused Alternate Contract Manager to act for the Contractor when the Contract Manager is absent. This role has full authority to act for the Contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operations and must be available between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed for administrative reasons. This is a non-personal services contract position. The contractor employee reports directly to the Prime Contractor for HR, disciplinary, and administrative matters, while receiving work direction from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Contracting Officer (KO). This is an in-person, on-site position. Key Responsibilities Act for the Contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operations in the absence of the Contract ManagerMaintain full authority to make decisions and direct Contractor personnel on contract mattersEnsure all contract requirements are fulfilled even as new employees acquire required GFEBS rolesInterface with the COR and KO on technical and contractual mattersCoordinate with the Contract Manager to ensure seamless coverage during absencesProvide supervision and oversight of Contractor personnel performing PWS Section 5 tasksMay also perform PWS Section 5 tasks as neededEnsure personnel comply with all security, training, and conduct requirementsMaintain availability between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday Required Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in public works, real-property systems, engineering systems, or installation business operationsCitizenship: U.S. Citizenship requiredSecurity Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) prior to onboardingGFEBS Experience: Expected to possess experience at contract start to perform immediately upon awardLanguage: Fluent in written and verbal EnglishMicrosoft Office: Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams Desired Experience Prior GFEBS, ePRISMS, BUILDER SMS, or Army DPW experienceExperience with DoD financial systems (GFEBS, HQIIS, DAIS)Prior supervisory or management experience on government contracts Additional Requirements Must obtain legal entry authorization to Fort Benning prior to commencing workMust be issued a Common Access Card (CAC)Must comply with all DoD security regulations and safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)Must pass background checks and base access control registrationMust complete AT Level I Training, iWATCH Training, OPSEC training, and IA/IT awareness trainingMust sign and abide by an Army IT User Agreement Schedule & Work Conditions Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidaysTelework: Not allowed; majority of work requires onsite presenceTravel: Not authorized or reimbursed Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
