Rosa Clará, renowned for its elegance and craftsmanship in bridal fashion, is seeking a skilled Dressmaker with a deep passion for haute couture to join our team at our Boston atelier. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, loves working with luxurious fabrics, and wants to contribute to a high-end fashion brand. Experience in the bridal sector is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform dress alterations with expert attention to detail, ensuring all changes meet the high-quality standards of Rosa Clará and are completed on time.
• Work closely with Sales Advisors in the fitting rooms to review and ensure dresses received from headquarters are flawless and ready for clients.
• Collaborate with the workshop manager or store director to efficiently manage and prioritize alterations, keeping everything on track.
• Carry out essential pressing and steaming tasks to ensure each dress is in perfect condition for delivery.
• Meticulously prepare every gown for delivery, maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in sewing and working with all types of machinery and tools (such as flatbed sewing machines, overlockers, and sergers).
• Ability to alter, replace, or add trimmings (e.g., buttons, zippers, boning) with finesse.
• Formal training in fashion design, tailoring, or pattern making.
• Previous experience with bridal gowns or evening dresses (a huge plus).
• Strong attention to detail, responsibility, and dedication to producing top-notch work.
