Alterations Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to a superior customer service experience. This role involves managing customer flow, addressing concerns, promoting alterations services, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and service customers over the phone, virtual chats, and in person, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
• Manage customer flow to ensure a five-star customer experience.
• Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues as necessary.
• Promote alterations services and personalization options.
• Maintain high dress code standards and a clean alterations room.
• Process special orders, pick-ups, and adhere to first-quality standards.
• Support cash wrap behaviors and ensure accurate transaction processing.
• Address customer issues and assist with inventory management.
• Perform duties as assigned by store management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
• Prior sewing experience is helpful.
• Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.

Qualifications

• Excellent phone and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for sewing and fitting.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and reaching.
