About the role
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to a superior customer service experience. This role requires a combination of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
- Manage customer flow through the use of all systems to ensure a five-star customer experience.
- Meet all service vows, including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers.
- Proactively address customer concerns with confidence, escalating issues as necessary.
- Promote all alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships with customers.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
- Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management, maintaining a clean and organized alterations room.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) systems is beneficial.
Qualifications
- Excellent phone and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to perform non-selling responsibilities, such as using POS terminals, counting money, steaming garments, and operating computers.
- Knowledge of David’s Bridal standards for sewing and fitting.
