About the role

The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to a superior customer service experience. This role requires a combination of customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage customer flow through the use of all systems to ensure a five-star customer experience.
  • Meet all service vows, including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for customers.
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Promote all alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships with customers.
  • Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
  • Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management, maintaining a clean and organized alterations room.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
  • Prior sewing experience is helpful.
  • Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) systems is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Excellent phone and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to perform non-selling responsibilities, such as using POS terminals, counting money, steaming garments, and operating computers.
  • Knowledge of David’s Bridal standards for sewing and fitting.
