About the role
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department, contributing to the provision of outstanding customer service. This role involves welcoming and servicing customers, managing customer flow, and ensuring that items are ready for pickups.
Responsibilities
- Welcome all customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats, and in person.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, adapting styles to suit customers through problem-solving, excellent phone skills, and conflict resolution.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience.
- Meet all service vows, including preparing, welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for all customers, adhering to operational checklists.
- Proactively address customer concerns with confidence, escalating issues as necessary and partnering with leadership.
- Promote all alterations services and personalization options, building long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards for all merchandise.
- Support cash wrap behaviors and processes transactions accurately to ensure every customer feels celebrated.
- Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues and maintain a clean and organized alterations room.
- Perform duties and tasks as assigned by store management.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks.
- Computer proficiency, including knowledge of POS systems.
