About the role
The Alterations Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a crucial part in the Alterations department's success. Reporting to the Store Manager, this role involves providing top-notch customer service, managing customer flow, and promoting various alteration services.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers with enthusiasm over phone, chat, and in-person, using clear communication and problem-solving skills.
- Manage customer flow to ensure a five-star customer experience.
- Resolve customer concerns with confidence and know when to escalate issues.
- Promote alterations services and personalize options for customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized alterations area to provide a flawless shopping experience.
- Follow quality control guidelines and inspect garments before delivering to customers.
- Build long-term relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Support inventory management by processing special orders, pick-ups, and adhering to first-quality standards.
- Perform cash wrap duties accurately to ensure customer celebration.
- Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer issues.
- Contribute to the store's achievement of Five-Star Customer Service standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent degree.
- 1-2 years of prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment.
- Prior sewing experience is helpful.
- Experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is beneficial.

- Ability to multitask and handle multiple customer interactions simultaneously.
